COURSE

The Gotland Runt Offshore Race was first sailed in 1937. The course has had different formats over the years, but now starts at Gråskärsfjärden south of Sandön. From there, the fleet sails north along the outer archipelago to Svenska Högarna, the easternmost part of the Stockholm archipelago, before heading south across open water to round Gotland and finish in Sandhamn.

The Gotland Runt course is approximately 350 NM and the Visby course is approximately 245 NM.

CLASSES

The race is sailed in different classes according to the ORCi and Swedish Rating System (SRS) measurement rules. Classes are based on the rule each boat is measured under and its assigned rating. Each boat must hold a valid measurement certificate to start.

PRIZES

In addition to class prizes, a number of special prizes are awarded, including fastest time, best female crew, best youth boat, best foredeck crew, and sprint prizes.
